Guidance for continuing the Ashtanga journey
Fay Lee Thung Wiratchai began practicing Ashtanga Yoga at the young age of eighteen to deal with stress during university. Little did she know at the time, that she had began a life changing journey.
After graduating university, Fay Lee moved to Thailand where she began to deepen her practice. She soon began making regular trips to Mysore, India to study with her Guru R. Sharath Jois, the head of the Ashtanga Yoga lineage. Fay Lee is a devoted student of Sharath Jois and makes yearly trips to study with him. On her third trip to Mysore, Sharathji gave Fay Lee his blessing to teach the Ashtanga Yoga method and made her an Authorized Level 2 teacher.
The practice of Ashtanga Yoga truly helped Fay Lee to grow up and find her place in life. The step-by-step approach of the practice helped Fay Lee to find the stability to do things she never thought would be possible both on and off the mat. Fay Lee believes that anyone can practice Ashtanga Yoga no matter their age or background. It is her goal to open the door of Ashtanga Yoga to anyone who is eager to learn. It is her way of honoring the work and lineage her teacher, Sharathji, dedicated his life to.

Yes. We cover a wide spectrum of styles of yoga, focusing mainly on Hatha Vinyasa, but will introduce key principles and sequences of Ashtanga, Hatha, Yin, and the spectrum of schools of yoga.

There will be graded assignments, theory and practical assessments as part of the certification. You will be required to pass this in order to be certified as competent for teaching classes.
